About this Beach

Known locally as 'Little Tahiti', Cala Brandinchi is one of the most celebrated beaches on Sardinia's northeastern coast. Located near San Teodoro, the beach stretches over 700 meters of fine white sand sheltered by a backdrop of fragrant juniper trees and Mediterranean pines. The water here is extraordinarily shallow and warm, shifting through shades of turquoise and aquamarine that rival any tropical destination. The seabed is sandy and gently sloping, making it ideal for families with small children. A small wetland behind the beach is home to herons and other wading birds, adding a touch of nature-watching to a relaxing beach day. Limited vehicle access and paid parking help control crowds, but arriving early in summer is strongly recommended.

It’s like a Tahitian beach, white sand, pure turquoise water. There are areas go rent sun loungers but most people use beach towels. Not a luxury beach, rather rustic but it’s a must visit in Sardinia due to its natural beauty! A true nature gem! You have to pay 2€/hour for parking.

The beach is stunning, no doubt. We booked an umbrella with sunbeds and despite the high price, it was totally worth it - the public area of the beach gets so packed that it would be impossible to enjoy being there. Unfortunately the area exactly in front of the red umbrellas was full with washed out seaweed not collected/cleaned by the staff. What disappointed me the most though was the lack of facilities (wc, shower) in close proximity to the umbrellas. In fact there was one female/male restroom and 3 showers right at the entrance (opposite side and appr. 5-7min walk to the red umbrellas on the other side of the beach - and trust me in the burning heat, 5min is a looong walk…). And overall the nr. of WCs is absurd for sich a busy beach…

It is a crowded beach but absolutely stunning so I would still recommend it. You’ll want to book an umbrella and lounges in advance. They have picnic tables, food options, and bathrooms available. Parking was easy. If you book an umbrella on the front row, note it is very close to the waters edge and people are walking by quite close.

The sand is full of chewing gums, cigarety buds and rotting algae. There's also hundreds of people sneaking in without paying the fee, so the beach gets too crowded. Terrible.

This beach is extremely complicated to reach. You need to book in advance, arrive early, park very expensively (2,5€ per hour) and far away, walk in the dust, stay in a long queue to scan your QR code and enter... it's PERFECT FOR MASOCHISTS! Otherwise, if you don't have small kids that need to stay in 15cm water and you are not addicted to an Instagram account (I let everyone use my photos and put yourself in the middle), GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. You will regret being blocked in this crowded kid's bay. We went out after 5min because we are not on social media but on holidays!
