About this Beach

Spiaggia del Principe (Prince's Beach) was named by the Aga Khan himself when he developed the Costa Smeralda in the 1960s — it was his personal favorite. This exclusive beach near Cala di Volpe features pristine white sand, naturally sculpted pink granite rocks, and water so clear it looks like liquid emerald. The beach is surrounded by Mediterranean maquis scrubland and juniper trees, creating a fragrant natural amphitheater. Its reputation for exclusivity and natural beauty makes it one of the most sought-after beach destinations in the entire Mediterranean.

The beach is nice - it’s really beautiful with turquoise water, the sand is white and soft and clean. It takes around 10 mins of easy walk from the parking. Alternatively, a tuk tuk service is available but no reason to use it unless you have trouble moving around. This beach gets really crowded though so the best time to visit is early morning or late in the evening. Parking is likely also problematic in the peak hours. The swimming area is pretty wide but the large part of is it really shallow. There were also a bunch of seagulls which was not so nice. Water was on the colder side at the end of August. Overall I can recommend this one, it’s one of those more popular ones due to the easier access and not an exceptional gem but it’s still good and beautiful.

We had a fantastic time at this beach. Probably one of the best beaches in Sardegna. I’ve never seen water this blue. Parking is ~12 euros for the day. We rented sunbeams and an umbrella. It is expensive at 45 euro for the day (traveling with family and kids). There is no shade so you either pay or bring your stuff. In any case, the beach and the overall experience is so unique that in someway it becomes priceless

Really beautiful, extraordinary beach in Gallura region of Sardinia! Be careful with parking though! The official parking fills up quickly and then cars stop at the side of the main road that turns out to be forbidden (€29 fine) … but for us it worth it 😉

I have never seen more blue water. It looks like brightest super blue colour what I've ever seen. It is magic.

The beach is really beautiful, probably one of the best we have seen on the island. Only downside is that there were jellyfish and we got stung... Be careful! The parking costs 2.5€ per hour or 12.5€ for the whole day. You have a small hike of 15 minutes from the parking. If you aren't comfortable walking on rocks, better wear closed shoes!

Pure luxury on the beach

This is what premium beach service looks like. The VIP daybed was incredible — champagne on arrival, attentive service, and the most beautiful water I've ever seen. Worth the splurge for a special occasion.

Esperienza indimenticabile.

The champagne sunset was magical

Booked the Champagne Sunset Experience for our honeymoon and it was absolutely unforgettable. Watching the sun set over the emerald water with oysters and bubbles — no words. The Lounger booking made everything so easy.
